Premier League giants, Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with representatives of fast-rising Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen as they eye a stunning summer transfer acquisition, AOIFootball.com reports.
According to reports in the French media, the Lille forward, who is valued at around £60 million pounds, has been attracting interests from fellow big spenders Manchester United and Chelsea but are however hoping to secure the services of the 21-year-old ahead of the rivals.
They could, however, face further competition from Leicester City who is hoping to use their Nigerian connection to lure him to the King Power Stadium, whilst newly money backed Newcastle United are also on the lookout for the attacker to lead their transformation next season.
The Nigerian has shown tremendous form in front of goal this term for Lille with 18 goals in all competitions, catching the eye of Chelsea when he scored against them last year in the group stages of the Champions League.
Lille will, however, hold on for the right price for the attacker who they believe has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world as they are also not in a rush to cash out on their most priced asset who joined less than a year ago from Belgian club Charleroi.
