Arsenal target and Nigerian international Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis has said he has been a fan of the North London club while growing up, AOIFootball.com reports.
Dennis is being reported to be an object of interest by the Gunners coached by Mikel Arteta and in a recent chat with the Super Eagles media team, he admitted being a fan of the club but avoided talks about a possible switch to the club when asked by curious Nigerian fans during the session.
“I was an Arsenal fan when I was growing up. I took time to follow the club, watched their games, and always wished they win games,” the Club Brugge forward said.
The Adamawa-born player was reported to have told an English media that he appreciates the challenge, having spent 3 years in Belgium with Brugge, a response which suggests he is considering the interest.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Dennis explained: “I like challenges. I’ve been here for three years. My focus right now is I have one more game this season – the Cup Final – which I want to win, that’s really important to me.
“After then, we’ll see what happens, you never know.”
