Despite loaning out Super Eagles, winger Henry Onyekuru to Turkish giants, Galatasary, has gathered from reports in France, that AS Monaco want the speedy forward back in their fold ahead of the new season which is expected kickoff soon.

Onyekuru joined Monaco earlier this season from English side Everton for a fee in the region of 20 million Euros but the former Anderlecht star found life difficult in his first season at the club with the manager opting to use tactics and formation that limited the player’s time on the pitch.

This made him seek a loan and his wish was granted as the club agreed on a move to Galatasaray where he won the league title and the FA Cup last season.

The former KAS Eupen goal poacher had started life back in Gala and was enjoying game time and good representation but the emergence of Covid-19 halted what would have been a good six months with Fatih Terim’s side.

But news out of France points at a possible return to Monaco for the AFCON 2019 Bronze medalist despite strong interest from Galatasaray.

It is left to see how it turns out as the transfer market gets busier and Onyekuru’s loan deal comes to an end in Turkey.
