It was yet another impressive round for Nigerian players in the Latvian Virsliga as the duo of Nnamdi Chinonso Offor and Tolu Arokodare scored for the second straight game, whilst there was a debut start and goal for FK Ventspils duo of Dele Alampasu and Kazeem Aderounmu, reports.

Tolu Arokodare: The 19-year-old led the line for Valmiera FK as they recorded their first win of the campaign following a 2-0 home win against FK Tukums.

The Nigerian put his side ahead five minutes into the second half before Eriks Punculs 83rd minute strike ensured the host secured the maximum points and move off the bottom of the table.

Nnamdi Chinonso Offor, Joshua Akpudje, and Idowu David Akintola: All three Nigerians started for BFC Daugava Daugavpils but it was Offor who stole the show as he scored a brace to help them to a 4-2 win over FS Metta/LU.

The 23-year-old opened the scoring after just 15 minutes before two further strikes from Valerijs Afanasjevas and Raivis Kriss put them 3-0 up inside the opening half-hour mark.

Their night however had a little blip when former MFM defender Joshua Akpudje was shown a straight red card with the visitors pulling one back from the resulting penalty.

Nnamdi Offor then made sure he spared the blushes of his fellow countryman when he scored his second of the game to put his side 4-1 up with the visitors then scoring another 12 minute from time to put respect on the scoreline.

Dele Alampasu, Christian Pyagbara, and Kazeem Aderounmu: former Golden Eaglet goalkeeper Dele Alampasu made a winning debut to his FK Ventspils career after he helped the club to a 3-1 win away at Spartaks with Christian Pyagbara also starting for Ventspils.

Evgeniy Kozlov scored twice in either half to put the visitors 2-1 up. Nemanja Belakovic struck before substitute Aderounmu ensured the points were safe when he scored deep into added time to complete a 3-1 win.
