Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has arrived in the Italian city of Naples amid a potential bid from Copa Italia champions Napoli, can report.

The 21-year-old, who was recently named the 2020 Best African Player in the French League, is reported to have a meeting with the club President to discuss transfer modalities with the club.

With no official bid made yet, reports suggest the French club is willing to listen to Napoli’s offer for the Nigerian but the club will only make a deal should they receive a similar amount that Arsenal paid for Ivorian forward Nicolas Pepe last summer.

Napoli have already made their intentions clear about the player and hope to complete a staggering €100 million bid for Osimhen and teammate Gabriel before the end of the current Italian season.

However, all efforts to confirm from the player’s representatives proved abortive as they kept mum on the issue but further investigations show that unless Lille receives a late offer for the Nigerian, he will almost certainly join the club this summer.

The Eagles hotshot scored 18 goals in all competitions for Lille to become the fans favourite at the Stade Pierre Mauroy despite just joining last summer from Belgian side RC Sporting Charleroi.
