Super Eagles full-back, Abdullahi Shehu has hailed his side’s 1-0 win over Altinordu on Saturday to move them one step closer to promotion back to the Turkish Super Lig, reports.

The former Kano Pillars defender started in his now accustomed midfield role for the hosts which had to dig deep to defeat their guests who were compact in all angles with the first half failing to produce any goal.

The task became more difficult for the hosts when Tayfur Bingöl got his marching orders five minutes after the break with Abdullahi also picking up a yellow card just after the hour mark.

Bursaspor however got their breakthrough goal on 69th minute when substitute Recep Aydin set up Abdou Razack Traore with the Burundi midfielder making no mistake to fire home and seal all three points.

”Difficult game yesterday. I’m excited we won. We keep fighting,” Abdullahi posted.

The win now sees Bursaspor remain on 4th position with 55 points, one point behind second-place Erzurumspor with just two games left in the regular season.
