Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa returned to the starting XI in grand style for Al-Nassr as he scored for the first time this season to lead them to a 2-0 away win at Abha, reports.

Having been introduced from the bench during last week’s embarrassing 4-1 loss at home to Al-Hilal Saudi, the former Leicester City attacker was restored to the starting XI as the visitors hoped to earn their first win post COVID-19.

In what was a one-sided first 45 minutes, the visitors failed to make their possession count as they were largely wasteful in front of goal with the first half ending goalless.

The Eagles speedster then turned up the heat in the second half, going down under a challenge in the box ten minutes into the half with top scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah stepping up to convert for 1-0.

Musa then got his first goal since April of 2019 moments later when he received a pass from Khalid  Al-Ghannam and then speeding past the goalkeeper before tucking into an empty net to make it 2-0 and seal all three points for Al-Nassr.

The 27-year-old was deservedly named man of the match as he earned a game rating of 8.6, made 3 key passes, completed 100% of his take-ons, and also won an impressive 9 of his 11 duels.
