Nigerian sports journalist, Ayo Olu-Ibidapo, popularly known as AY Suga, has been appointed the Vice Chairman of the African Beach Soccer Union Media and Communications Committee, reports.


The media guru and Assistant Media Officer of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is one of 15 Nigerians named in several committees with the likes of Abdullahi Isa and Jelili Ogunmuyiwa who were named in the Technical and Youth Development Committee.


With a vast experience in the electronic media industry spanning over two decades, the young father of two is poised to represent the country on the continent to take Africa’s beach soccer to another level having proven it at this year’s Abuja Beach soccer tournament.


Ghana’s Yaw Ampofo Amkrah will lead the Media, Communications and Branding Committee whilst Nigeria’s Ibidapo is Vice Chairman with the duo of Aisha Augie Kuta and Nasir Auwal both from Nigeria as members.


Other notable Nigerians appointed in different committees include Olayinka Elebute (secretariat), Adebayo Akande (Competition), Saraki Ola Rasheed(Secretariat) Abdullahi Yahaya, and Alizor Chuks (Marketing and Sponsorship), Ruth David and Hafsat Toyin Yusuf (Women Development).
