Nigerian international, Peter Olayinka opened his season’s account in style on Friday night as he scored one and assisted another to help Slavia Praha remain unbeaten in the league following their 5-1 trashing of FK Teplice, reports.

The 24-year-old started his second league game of the campaign as he hoped to end his 11-month goal drought, having last scored a goal in October 2019.

The forward however needed just two minutes to break that barrier when he fired the ball through the goalkeeper for 1-0 after being set up by Lima’s Provod, much to the joy of his teammates.

Nicolae Stanciu then doubled Slavia’s lead on the 13th minute before the visitors were reduced to 10 men and Peter Musa made the most of the numerical advantage as he scored halfway into the game to make it 3-0.

Tomas Holes then made it 4-0 after the break but the visitors pulled one back from the spot before Olayinka restored the four goals advantage when he turned provider for Ladislav Takacs who headed home to complete a 5-1 win.

The victory sees the hosts remain top of the league table with 10 points from a possible 12, having won 3 of their opening 4 league fixtures.
