Super Eagles winger, Samuel Kalu has opened up on his unsuccessful move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce after the club failed to reach a comprehensive agreement with Bordeaux, reports.

The 23-year-old was wildly expected to join Eagles teammate, Oghenekaro Etebo in Turkey after he completed a season loan move to Galatasaray but was however started last weekend against Lyon as Bordeaux maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Speaking to exclusively, the former KAA Gent winger however stated that he remains committed to Bordeaux and won’t try to force a move should both parties fail to find a breakthrough before the end of the transfer window.

“There is really nothing much to say because they (Fenerbahce) first gave an offer of a loan deal but Bordeaux rejected it, saying I was an important player to the club and they can’t allow me to go on loan again.

“They came again with another offer for a loan and an option to buy at the end of the season but the club is yet to reply to them.

“I’m however ready to give my best to the club; if I will remain here I am 100% committed and won’t force a move away as it remains with the club to decide that,” Kalu concluded.

The 23-year-old has featured in all 4 of Bordeaux’s league games this campaign and has already scored his first goal of the season in their 2-1 away loss at RC Lens.
