Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen had a memorable home debut in the colours of Napoli when they brushed aside Genoa 6-0 to maintain their 100% start to the season, reports.

Having come off the bench last time out to make his debut for the Naples side, the club’s record signing started his first game as he led the line in a diamond 4-2-3-1 formation.

The hosts however needed just 10 minutes to open the scoring when Hirving Lozano finished off a pass from Dries Martens to make it 1-0 before losing Lorenzo through injury halfway into the game.

Osimhen then got into the act sixty seconds after the restart as he found Piotr Zielinski with a tricky back heel with the midfielder keeping his calm to fire home for 2-0.

Dries Martens then got Napoli’s third goal of the afternoon three minutes before the hour mark with Hirving Lorenzo completing his brace afterwards to make it 4-0.

The hosts were still not done as they wrapped up the victory with two further goals as substitutes Eljif Elmas and Matteo Politano found the net with three minutes left to seal a 6-0 win.

Despite failing to find the back of the net, Osimhen still gave a near-perfect performance, finishing with a rating 7.6, winning 6 duels, creating 2 big chances, and also completing 100% of his dribbles.

Meanwhile, it was a barren shoot out for last season’s Serie B top scorer Simy Nwankwo who fired blanks for Crotone as they fell 2-0 away at AC Milan.

The 28-year-old featured for the entire match duration and earned a rating of 6.2.

Similarly, Super Eagles vice captain, Williams Troost-Ekong was on the bench for the entire match duration as his team, Udinese lost 1-0 away at Hellas Verona.

The 27-year-old is yet to feature this campaign for the club with reports suggesting that he could be on his way to Watford after both clubs agreed for the player to move to the Championship.
