In a bid to further fortify their team for the upcoming campaign in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Bauchi-based Wikki Tourists FC have signed up former Papilo FC striker, Edwin Kingsley Chinonso, AOIFootball.com reports.
The prolific center-forward, who also had a spell with Heartland FC Feeders, disclosed to AOIFootball.com that he is now with the country’s 2017 representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup competition, adding that he is excited and ready to take the top-flight by storm when the 2020/2021 league season commences.
“I’m excited with my move to Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi and I’m ready to show the premier league the stuff I’m made of,” said the Enugu State born goal poacher.
“The only way I can justify my inclusion in this team is to ensure that my impact is greatly felt,” he added.
Chinonso seems not to be perturbed by the arrival of so many NPFL stars at the club, insisting that competition for positions can only bring out the best in the players since they know that the team has a result-oriented philosophy.
“I’m not in any way bothered by the arrival of top-flight players here in their numbers, it will only give room for competition.
“Healthy competition at this level can only bring out the best among the players, and I’m going to give it my best shot when the season starts,” concluded Chinonso.
