Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has insisted that the team is on the right track despite failing to win either of their friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia, positing that the coaches are building an exciting team for the future, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Villarreal of Spain winger, who started both games against Algeria and Tunisia, said that the experience gained will shape the team up ahead of next month’s AFCON qualifiers.
“It was a great experience for the team; it has been long we played together and the coach is building a great team,” Chukwueze stated.
The former Golden Eaglets star further praised the impact of the new players whilst urging them to take their chances whenever they are called up to the team.
“The new players are also good; we have so many talented players in Nigeria so everyone needs to prove himself whenever they call upon them,” he concluded.
The 21-year-old made his debut in November of 2018 and has gone on to earn 11 more caps and also winning the AFCON bronze medal and netting 2 goals for the Eagles.
