Nasarawa United rock-solid centre-back, Franklin Tebo Uchenna is focused on helping his side to a top-three finish when the 2020/2021 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League commences, AOIFootball.com gathers.
The former FC Vitosha Bistritsa of Bulgaria player in an exclusive chat with AOIFootball.com revealed that his greatest ambition, for now, is to qualify his side for any of the CAF inter-club competitions.
“My main target is to help my team finish among the first three teams in the league and qualify for continental football, said Franklin.
“Playing in the CAF Champions League or Confederations Cup is one of the dreams of players here, aside from seeking greener pastures abroad,” Franklin said.
It would be recalled that the last time the solid miners played in the CAF inter-club competitions was four years ago when they failed to go past the preliminary stages, losing to Constantine Football Club of Algeria, and the lanky defender insists the Lafia based side is due for a return to the continent.
“It’s been a while we played in the CAF Confederations Cup, and it’s about time we returned the club to the continent.
“It’s not an impossible task; we can achieve it as long as we’re determined and disciplined,” concluded Franklin.
