Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu continued his amazing form in front of goal with Belgian side KRC Genk as he took his tally for the season to double figures, scoring in their 4-1 thrashing of Royal Excel Mouscron, reports.

Criticized by many football lovers back home in Nigeria for not getting used to the Eagles pattern, the lanky forward started his 11th league game of the campaign as compatriot Cyriel Dessers was made to start from the bench.

Following a rather quiet opening half-hour, the visitors took the lead via the boots of Nuno Da Costa on the 34th minute before Junya Ito equalized for Genk seconds before half time to send both teams level going into the break.

Midfielder Theo Bongonda then made it 2-1 on the 55th minute before Onuachu got into the act three minutes after the hour mark when he scored to further put comfort on the scoreline for the hosts.

Junya and Bongonda then combined to make it 4-1 nine minutes from time before Onuachu made way for Dessers in the closing stages, as the hosts secured all 3 points to move up to second on the log.

Onuachu’s strike means he has now surpassed the nine goals he scored in his debut season, with the 26-year-old also leading the goals scorers’ chart for the season alongside joint top scorer Raphael Holzhauser.
