Villarreal Head Coach, Unai Emery has revealed in-demand winger, Samuel Chukwueze is still a key player in his plans and hopes to have him beyond the 2020/2021 season, reports.

Reacting to questions from OJBSPORT, ahead of their Thursday Europa League clash against Maccabi Tel Aviv, a rather calm Emery stated that the player looks happy in Spain and remains confident that he can stay till the expiration of his contract.

“He’s very young and has an exciting future but first, he’s with us trying to get better with his performance for us and the national team.

“In the future he can go, but I think he’s very happy with us and every match he plays, he tries to give the best performance,” Emery said.

A transfer target of top European clubs, the 21-year-old showed a glimpse of the plenty things he can do against top sides after he came off the bench on Saturday to help the Yellow Submarines snatch a valuable point at home to Real Madrid.

With two fantastic outings to his name in the Europa League this campaign, the 2015 FIFA U-17 bronze ball winner will most definitely be given a starter’s berth in Israel, with Villarreal all but guaranteed qualification should they snatch maximum points in Tel Aviv.
