Former Super Eagles midfielder, Rabiu Ibrahim came off the bench to score his third league goal of the campaign as table toppers Slovan Bratislava made it five consecutive wins when they brushed aside Spartak Trnava, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former PSV Eindhoven midfielder was named among the substitutes whilst the hosts named unknown forward Yusuf Bamidele to lead the line for them.
David Holman put Slovan ahead after 17 minutes from the spot before David Strelec doubled their lead just after the hour mark to make it 2-0 for the visitors.
Myenty Abena was then sent off during the closing stages of the first half with Slovan going into the break one man down despite holding a two goals advantage.
Rabiu Ibrahim replaced David Holman seventeen minutes from time, with the midfielder making the most of his time on the pitch as he scored his side’s third five minutes from time to wrap up a comprehensive 3-0 win.
The win sees Slovan Bratislava extend their lead at the top of the log to five points whilst Rabiu took his goals tally for the season to 3 goals from 10 games played so far.
