Super Eagles midfielder, Ramon Azeez made his first competitive appearance since September as he helped LaLiga side Granada reach the second round of the Spanish cup following their 2-0 away win over AD San Juan, reports.

Having returned to the bench for Sunday’s league win away at Elche, the former Almeria midfielder took his place in the heart of the midfield forming a twin defensive midfield role alongside Cameroon’s Yan Brice with Granada playing a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The visitors however made an electrifying start to the clash as they took the lead in the opening seconds when Chelsea Loanee Kennedy finished off a Jorge Molina assist to make it 1-0.

Molina then turned scorer four minutes before the half-hour mark when he received a pass from Antonio Aranda to double the visitors lead and give them a 2-0 half time lead.

The second half of the encounter then failed to produce any goals as Granada held on to the win and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to four games.

Azeez, who featured for the entire match duration, had a game rating of 7.1, completed 90.5% of his passes, won 3 duels, made 1 interception and 2 key tackles.
