Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye kept his third clean sheet in the Dutch Eredivisie to help Sparta Rotterdam take all three points away at FC Twente, reports.

The 21-year-old, who was bridged thrice over the weekend kept his place in goal for the visitors whilst the hosts also handed a start to Eagles right-back Tyronne Ebuehi who was making his 14th consecutive league start.

Twente clearly dominated the first half in terms of possession but it was Rotterdam who looked threatening on the counter as they produced more clear-cut chances in the opening exchanges with Okoye having little to do in those moments.

However with just seconds to the break, Rotterdam got the breakthrough when Mario Engels opened the scoring with almost the last kick off the half to send the visitors 1-0 up going into the halftime break.

The goal did bring the best out of Rotterdam as they doubled their lead seven minutes after the hour mark with Mica Pinto turning provider for Deroy Duarte who fired home his fourth goal of the season to make it 2-0.

Okoye then had to be alert moments later as he denied Kik Pierre from close range with the visitors holding on to claim their 5th win of the campaign and move up to 9th on the log with 18 points.

The former Fortuna Dusseldorf shot-stopper finished with a game rating of 7.3, made 1 save, one high claim, and punch as well as 100% of his aerial duels.
