Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi claimed his first-ever professional silverware on Wednesday night as he helped league champions FC Porto claim their 22nd Super Cup title following their 2-0 win over Benfica, reports.

The 23-year-old joined the Portuguese giants this summer from Santa Clara and has been at the best of his game helping the club stay in contention for the league and also helping them reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Goals in either half by Sergio Oliveira and a late one by substitute Luis Diaz was all Sanusi and his teammate needed have they reclaimed the Super Taca from Benfica.

Sanusi who featured for the entire match duration had a game rating of 6.4, making 3 interceptions, 4 tackles, winning 7 duels, and also completing 66% of his passes attempted on the night.

The Eagles left-back will now hope to end the year on a high when his Porto side travel to Vitoria SC in what will be their last game of the 2020 Calendar year.
