Nigerian forward, David Okereke came off the bench to round off scoring for Club Brugge as they returned to winning ways following their Boxing Day 3-0 home win against visiting KAS Eupen, reports.

With the future of fellow Eagle Emmanuel Dennis still much a doubt both players were handed Substitutes role by head coach Philippe Clement with the host hoping to go five points clear at the top of the table.

After a goalless first half, Dutch midfielder Noa Lang broke the deadlock after 52 minutes before the on-loan Ajax man replicated the same feat six minutes later to give Brugge a commanding 2-0 lead.

Captain Hans Vanaken was then sent off for a Professional foul before Okereke replaced Krepin Diatta moments later to feature for the remainder of the match duration.

The 23-year-old however made the most of his introduction when he sealed the win with a fine finish, first winning the ball around midfield before he then received the final ball from that attack to seal a comfortable 3-0 win.

The strike takes Okereke’s tally of the season to 4 goals with the forward just limited to 5 starts from his 14 appearances all season.
