Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi was the match hero for EPL strugglers West Bromwich Albion as they picked their second successive point on the road following their 1-1 draw away at champions Liverpool, reports

Having helped his side to a point 11 days ago at the Etihad against Manchester City, the lanky defender started in center-back alongside Dara O’Shea with the visitors deploying a flat 4-5-1 formation.

Liverpool took an early lead on 12 minutes when Sadio Mane finished clinically from a Joel Matip pass but they struggled to create clear chances after that and Sam Allardyce’s side punished their sluggish display with a deserved leveler eight minutes from time.

Matheus Pereira was the provider, his cross from the right finding Ajayi, whose towering header crept over the line after bouncing off the inside of the post as the baggies held on to pick a vital point in their quest for survival.

Ajayi, who scored his first goal in the EPL, recorded an impressive rating of 7.5, made 7 clearances, one interception, and tackle won 4 duels, and also completed 69% of his passes.
