Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon will return to France with a new manager in charge after his club appointed former French Coach Raymond Dominic for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season, AOIFootball.com reports.
Without a win since early November, the French club made way with Christian Gourcufc with Patrick Collot taking temporary charge but after a run of four consecutive games without a win, the club decided to hire a permanent manager.
Domenech, 68, led France to a second-place finish at the 2006 World Cup in Germany before he was sacked four years later after crashing out of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
He takes charge of a Nantes side who are 3 places and 3 points above the relegation zone, occupying 16th position with 15 points from 17 games.
The French coach’s appointment however comes as a huge shock, having last managed a club 27-years-ago and he needs to wear his magic hat to save Nantes from dropping down to the Ligue 2.
