Former FC IfeanyiUbah wing wizard, Samuel Kalu has dedicated his match-winning goal against Heartland FC on Match Day 1 of the Nigeria Professional Football League 2020/2021 season to the fans of his new club, reports.

The Katsina based side came from behind twice before completing the task with a 92nd-minute strick from their new addition, in an action-packed game.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with, the Kano State born indigene of Abia maintained that he feels so much for the fans of the club, knowing that they are restricted from match venues, as a result of the second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic, hence his decision to appease them with his match-winner.
“I’m dedicating my winning goal to the fans of this great club for their passion,” said Kalu, who also got the match-winner against Heartland FC in Nnewi last season, while plying his trade with FC IfeanyiUbah.
Since the directive by the relevant authorities on the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted fans from match venues, there’s no better way to appease them.
With the second wave of the pandemic sweeping across the world, the Black Diamond, as Kalu is fondly called, has advised fans of the Chanji Boys to stay safe while adhering to the directive of the authorities on guidelines and protocols, adding that the best way to fight the pandemic is to strictly follow expert advice.
“I’m calling on all our fans to stay safe this period because COVID-19 is real.
“Together we can fight this scourge by strictly adhering to expert advice on the guidelines and protocols, and maintaining personal hygiene,” concluded Kalu.
