Heartland FC of Owerri combative midfielder, Ayooluwa Adetola has expressed strong faith in his side’s ability to bounce back from their present poor run of form in the Nigeria Professional Football League, AOIFootball.com reports.
Speaking exclusively to AOIFootball.com shortly after their 2-1 home victory over Akwa United FC, the former Mighty Jets and Niger Tornadoes holding midfielder, stated that they’re just experiencing a slow start to the season, and it’s only a matter of time.
He submitted that: “Heartland FC as a team will soon find its footing in the NPFL and then enjoy a good season.
“We only had a rough start to the season which is very common with football, and we’re beginning to gain some stability”.
The Naze Millionaires have so far picked 6 points from a possible 18, lost a home game, and losing 3 points away to Katsina United from a winning position, but the energetic midfielder believes his side will work their way out of the current situation they find themselves.
“We must have lost a game at home and not being able to pick any points on the road yet, but it’s too early to conclude on the team because the season is still young.
“We will surely overcome our current predicament in the league; all we need is focus and determination,” Adetola concluded.
