Nigerian international, Umar Sadiq scored for the third successive league game as his club, Almeria overcame visiting CD Castellon 3-1 to continue their strong push for automatic promotion, reports.


Having scored an amazing six goals in his first four outings of 2021, the former AS Roma man returned to the starting XI for the league clash with the hosts hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the year.


The 23-year-old wasted no time in giving his side the lead when he set up midfielder Jose Corpas after 26 minutes with the Spaniard converting to make it 1-0 to Almeria.


Down but now out, the visitors found their way back with an equalizer on the hour mark via the boots of Ruben Diaz before the impressive Sadiq restored their lead on 78 minutes.


Jorge Cuenca then ensured the points were safe when he made it 3-1 with ten minutes left as Almeria cruised to their 14th league win of the campaign.
