Nigerian winger, Iyayi Believe Atiemwen continued his fantastic 2021 form as he scored for the third consecutive league game to help Dinamo Zagreb to a 1-0 vital away win at NK Istra 1961, AOIFootball.com reports.

Having impressed off the bench in his last two outings, the former Bendel Insurance player started just his second league game of the campaign with the visitors hoping to win and maintain their hold on the first position.

They were by far the better side in the opening exchanges but had to make a first-half change when Josko Gvardiol pulled up injured with Marijan Čabraj replacing him after just 22 minutes.

The change will go on to give the visitors more attack options on the left as they found the breakthrough six minutes after the half-hour mark when Mario Gavranovic found Iyayi and he made no mistake to fire home for 1-0.

Both sides did however fail to score in the second period with Iyayi’s loan strike proving to be the difference as the visitors picked up their 14th league win of the campaign to remain first on the log, level on points with second place NK Osijek.
