Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi continued his blistering form in 2021 as he took his tally for the year to 7 goals, to help relegation-threatened Lorient earn a vital point away at Monaco, reports.

With a potential call-up for the Super Eagles’ next month AFCON qualifiers, the country’s most on-form striker in all of Europe’s top 5 leagues started his 13th league game with the visitors hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to 7 games.

Monaco then equalized with a penalty of their own three minutes into the second half with French forward Wissam Ben Yedder converting for 1-1.

Moffi put his side back in front two minutes after the hour mark when he benefited from a loose ball in the Monaco midfield before driving into the box to strike home his second with his left foot and make it 2-1.

However, their heart was broken at the tail end when Ben Yedder completed his brace also to ensure both teams shared the spoils much to the disappointment of the visitors who taught they had gotten all 3 points from the encounter.

The 21-year-old finished the game with a rating of 7.9, taking his league tally to an amazing 8 goals from just 13 starts this campaign.
