Nigerian youngster Rasheed Ibrahim Akanbi was the hero for Menemen Spor as he scored thrice in their 6-2 heavy thumping of visitors Akhisarspor with Nsima Peter on target for the visitors, reports.


Halil Yeral put through his own goal to give the hosts a deserved 3rd-minute lead before Rasheed got into the action on 10 minutes to make it 2-0 to his side.


Ridvan Kocak made it 3-0 three minutes later before Nsima Peter pulled one back for the visitors in what was a crazy opening 20 minutes of the clash with the host already 3-1 up.


Rasheed then restored his side’s three goals advantage just before the break when he finished off a Omar Mohammed assist to make it 4-1 with Menemen Spor racing into half time with a well protected lead.


Furkan Bayir then made it 5-1 after the hour mark but the visitors again pulled one back via the boots of substitute Bertug Bayer who had earlier replaced Nsima Peter.


The 21-year-old Rasheed however sealed the win with his hat-trick deep into stoppage as the host boosted their survival chances with an emphatic win to move up to 13th on the log standings.


The former Tire Belediye attacker deservedly went home with both the match ball and a man of the match award after earning a rating of 9.5, scoring from 3 of his 5 shots on target whilst also making 2 key passes in the clash.
