Nigeria’s Kelechi Nwakali continued his impressive start to life at LaLiga 2 side Alcorcon after they earned their second successive league win away at Real Zaragoza, reports.

Having ended a run of 5 games without a win in their last outing against UD Logrones, the visitors were hoping to earn their 7th win of the campaign with Nwakali keeping his place in the starting XI.

Clearly the better side in the first period, Alcorcon were unlucky not to be ahead at the break with the hosts doing plenty of defending having failed to produce any shot on target.

The visitors upped their gameplay in the second period and took the lead against the run of play in the hour mark when Cristian Alvarez put through his own goal to give Alcorcon a 1-0 lead.

Zaragoza then produced a late fight to try and rescue a point but the visitors held on to pick all three points to move them just within goal difference of 18th place Sabadell in their quest for survival.

“Proud of you guys today another 3 points at last. God is too much,” Nwakali posted afterwards.

The 22-year-old saw 89 minutes of action, earning a rating of 6.7, completing 83% of his passes, making 2 key passes, completing 100% of his take ons and also making 2 key tackles and one clearance.
