Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu continued his blistering form in front of goal for Belgian side KRC Genk as he took his league tally to an incredible 25 goals to help them to a 1-2 away win at Sporting Charleroi, reports.

On the back of two successive league defeats, the visitors came into the game hungry for a win as they hope to close the gap on runaway leaders Club Brugge.

The Eagles forward however needed just 17 minutes to record his name on the scorer’s sheet as he converted from 12 yards to give his side a deserved first-half lead.

Iranian international Ali Gholizadeh then equalized for the host shortly after the break but the visitors had the last laugh when Kristian Thorstvedt scored seven minutes from time to hand Genk all 3 points and move them back up to 3rd on the standings.

Onuachu now moves up to joint second in the race for the European golden shoe alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Andre Silva who are all on 36 points with Robert Lewandowski leading the line with 52 points.
