Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi combined to score what was a memorable goal for Leicester City as they picked up an important point away at Burnley to boost their top-four hopes, AOIFootball.com reports.
Having both failed to impress in last weekend’s disappointing loss at home to Arsenal, the Eagles duo retained their spot in the starting XI as Leicester missed a host of key players due to injury for the trip to Turf Moore.
They however found themselves behind after just 4 minutes when a mistake from Hamza Choudhury allowed Matej Vydra a chance at goal with the Czech forward firing home his first goal of the campaign to make it 1-0.
Down but not out, the visitors clawed their way back into the tie when the ever-present Ndidi found fellow countryman Iheanacho with a well-timed pass with the striker doing the hardest part to volley home at half-length to make it 1-1.
The equalizer did however bring out the best from Leicester who rued a lot of missed chances and had to contain the pressure from a dangerous Burnley who missed a plethora of chances in the second half.
Iheanacho, who was replaced after 67 minutes, had a game rating of 7.3, whilst Ndidi who had to return to center-back duties following injuries at the back gave a near-perfect outing with a rating of 7.6.
