Super Eagles forward, Simy Nwankwo sent a clear message to Eagles manager Gernot Roth ahead of his team selection for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers after he scored twice for struggling Crotone in their 4-2 win over Torino, reports.

Having lost all 7 of their last league outings, the hosts were desperate to pick up just their 4th league win of the campaign with their survival hopes fully dependent on a run of positive results.

They however had a better start to the clash when Simy fired home from 12-yards to give them a deserved lead but the visitors hit back just before the break via the boots of Rolando Mandragora to set scores level at half time.

Just like in the first half, the impressive Simy reacted quickest to fire home a rebound from the goalkeeper on 54 minutes to put Crotone ahead for the second time in the clash before he then made way for Samuel Di Carmine.

Polish midfielder Arkadiusz Reca then gave them some breathing space when he made it 3-1 with ten minutes left on the clock with Antonio Sanabria and Adam Ounas striking each for both clubs in the closing stages to seal a 4-2 win for Crotone.

The strikes take Simy’s tally of the season to double figures in the league, a new feat for the Nigerian in a single Italian top-flight season whilst Crotone remains rooted to the bottom of the log with 15 points from 26 games.
