Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen continued from where he left off during the international break as he scored his 4th league goal of the campaign to help Napoli to an entertaining 4-3 win over bottom side Crotone which had the in-form Simy leading their line, reports.

In a game that says Africa’s most expensive striker goes up against Nigeria’s most in-form striker in the top 5 leagues in Europe both players were hoping to be the difference with points needed at both ends of the table.

The host however drew first blood after just 19 minutes when Lorenzo Insigne made it 1-0 to the Naples outfit before he then turned provider for Osimhen three minutes later to double the host lead.

Down but not out Simy pulled one back for the host on 25 minute to make it 2-1 but Napoli restored their two-goal lead just after the half-hour mark via the boots of Dries Martens in what was an entertaining end to the first half.

The impressive Simy then grabbed his second of the game and 15th of the season when he poked home three minutes into the second half to make it 3-2.

Junior Messias then got into the act just on the hour mark as he stunned the host with an equalizer to make it 3-3 but the host where not to be denied the winner 18 minutes from time when Giovanni Di Lorenzo fired home to earn all 3 points for the host.

The lanky Simy narrowly missed out on the mam of the match award as he finished with a rating of 8.3, whilst Osimhen who took his league tally to 4 goals finished with a rating of 7.5.
