Super Eagles duo of Maduka Okoye and Tyrone Ebuehi were at their playing best on Saturday despite suffering defeats with Okoye once again standing tall after he was named Sparta Rotterdam’s best player in their loss away at AZ Alkmaar, reports.


The 21-year-old shot-stopper started his 23rd league game of the campaign although he had to pick the ball twice from his own net, Okoye still managed to keep his side in the game with series of stunning saves for the visitors.


With a rating of 7.7, the former Fortuna Düsseldorf goalkeeper produced an incredible 8 saves with 5 of those from inside of the box and he once again showed he remains the undisputed number 1 for his club side.


The defeat leaves Rotterdam with their first loss in 4 games as they now drop to 11th on the log after 29 rounds of matches played.


Elsewhere at the Mac3Park in Zwolle, Eagles right back Tyrone Ebuehi produced a fantastic outing on the right for FC Twente as they fell to a 1-0 loss away at PEC Zwolle on matchday 29 of the Eredivisie.


A first-half strike from Virgil Misidjan was all the hosts needed to seal all three points with Twente remaining 9th on the log with 37 points.


The 25-year-old, who played for the entire match duration, had a game rating of 7.0, made 3 key passes, 1 interception, and clearance, won 2 key tackles, 3 duels, and also completed an incredible 91% of his passes.
