Former U-17 World Cup winning skipper, Kelechi Nwakali continued his impressive start to life for Spanish second-tier side Alcorcon as he scored for the second successive game to lead them to a 3-1 win away at CD Sligo, reports.

Having scored the winner in last week’s win at home to CD Castellon, the on-loan Huesca midfielder started his 12th league game for the visitors who were in search of their 10th league win of the campaign.

Spanish midfielder, Daniel Ojeda gave the visitors the lead after just 21 minutes as Alcorcon made the most of their first-half dominance to lead at the break.

Half-time substitute Cristian Herrera then leveled matters with just 3 minutes after coming on to make it 1-1 but Alcorcon regained their lead in the 72nd minute when Daniel Ojeda had his blushes soared when he rebounded home from his initially missed penalty kick.

Nwakali then ensured the points were safe when he scored from 12 yards to make it 3 -1 and register his 3rd league goal of the season as the visitors moved up to 18th on the log with 38 points from 38 games played so far.

Nwakali, who narrowly missed out on the man of the match award, had a fine rating of 7.4, made 1 key pass, won 7 duels, and also made 1 clearance and 3 key tackles.
