Super Eagles forward Paul Ebere Onuachu scored for the 5th consecutive game for club and country as his Genk side blew away a 2-goal lead to lose 3-2 away at Royal Antwerp, reports.

Having scored four goals in his last 4 appearances for both club and country, the Eagles striker was hoping to extend his record in front of goal with the visitors also hoping to end the regular season on a high.

It however took the lanky striker just 22 minutes to open the scoring when he fired home from close range following a spill from the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 to Genk a lead they held going into the break.

Onuachu then doubled his side’s lead four minutes after from 12 yards to register his 27th league goal of the campaign and give his side a 2-0 lead before he was then replaced by fellow countryman Cyriel Dessers.

The substitution however backfired as the visitors lost control of the game afterward with Didier Lamkel Ze making it 2-1 almost immediately before Dieumerci Mbokani equalized on the dot of 90 minute to make it 2-2.

Dylan Batubinsika then completed the comeback deep into added time as he scored to make it 3–2 to the host who remained on the second position, four points ahead of Genk who finished 3rd in the regular season.

Onuachu ended with a rating of 8.8 to clinch the man of the match award as he took his tally to 31 goals for club and country this campaign.
