Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze scored his first-ever LaLiga brace on Sunday night when he inspired Spanish side Villarreal to a 5-1 trouncing of hosts Levante, reports.

Having helped the Yellow Submarines reach the semifinals of the Europa League, the pacy winger started just his 10th league game of the campaign with the visitors hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing league loss at home to Osasuna.

They however wasted no time in laying down their marker when Sergio Postigo put through his own goal for 1-0 before Gerard Moreno doubled their lead four minutes later to make it 2-0 to the visitors.

Mickaël Malsa then reduced the deficit in the 21st minute but the visitors did hold their 2-1 lead at halftime.

Back with more firepower in the second period, half-time substitute Paco Alcacer set up Chukwueze with a lovely through ball just after the hour mark, and the Eagles man kept his cool to outrace his markers before firing home for 3-1.

Ruben Venzo then made it 4-1 to Villarreal with yet another own goal before Chukwueze rounded off the scoring in similar fashion 15 minutes from time after he was set up by Dani Parejo to make it 5-1.

The forward was then replaced nine minutes from time with the work already done as he took his league tally to 3 goals for the campaign, whilst Villarreal move up 5th with 49 points from 31 games.

The 21-year-old was named man of the match with a game rating of 8.5, completing 5 of his 9 dribbles, winning 6 duels, and also completing 81% of his passes.
