Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen came off the bench in style to wrap up victory for Napoli on Thursday night as he scored for the 3rd time in 4 games to help Napoli to a 5-2 win over Lazio, AOIFootball.com reports.
Having started in last weekend’s draw at home to Inter Milan, the Eagles forward had to do with a place on the bench with Belgian forward, Dries Martens preferred to lead the line for the Naples side.
They however needed just 5 minutes to register their intent in the game as captain Lorenzo Insigne dusted himself up after been fouled in the box as he converted from 12 yards to make it 1-0 before Matteo Politano made it 2-0 moments later.
Insigne then added his second eight minutes into the second half to make it 3-0 with Martens then taking the match beyond Lazio as he scored on 65 minutes to make it 4-0 after being set up by Piotr Zielinski.
Coro Immobile then added some decency to the scoreline when he made it 4-1 with Gattuso then bringing on Osimhen moments later but it was the visitors who struck again as Sergej Milinkovic-Slavic made it 4-2 on 74 minutes.
Osimhen then crushed any hope of a comeback 10 minutes from time as he received a lovely through ball from Hirving Lorenzo before firing home a powerful shot past Reina to seal a 5-2 win for Napoli.
Despite just playing for 18 minutes, Osimhen still produced a fine game rating of 7.2, as he took his league tally to 6 goals from just 10 starts.
