Super Eagles number one goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye continued his high flying debut campaign in Holland as he once again kept clean for Sparta Rotterdam in their 2-0 win at home to VVV-Venlo on match day 30 of the Eredivisie, reports.

Having impressed in last week’s 2-0 loss at AZ Alkmar, the 21-year-old kept his place in goal for the hosts who welcomed Venlo at the Het Kasteel hoping to keep their slim playoff place alive.

Dutch midfielder, Laros Duarte put the hosts ahead just before the break before Bryan Smeets ensured the points where safe after the hour mark when he fired home to 2-0 and ensure the host recorded their 10th league win of the campaign.

The 21-year-old finished with a fine game rating of 7.5, as he moves up to 5th in the race for the golden glove, with Rotterdam now just 3 points shy of surpassing the 33 points they garnered last season.
