Nigeria’s Terem Moffi continued his amazing form in the French Ligue 1 as he scored his debut hattrick for French side Lorient as they brushed aside Bordeaux 4-1 to move four points clear of the relegation zone, reports.

With 3 goals in his last two games, Moffi led the line for the hosts on what was a relegation zone battle, whilst Samuel Kalu returned to the bench for Bordeaux, his first appearance in five weeks following an injury.

It however took Lorient 18 minutes to break the deadlock throughCongolese midfielder Yoane Wissa before hethen set up Moffi two minutes later to make it 2-0 as he finished from close range.

The 21-year-old then made it 3-0 two minutes before the break when he received an amazing pass from Trevoh Chalobah before skipping past the goalkeeper to fire into an empty net for his second of the match.

Kalu was then introduced at half time for Bordeaux to try and savage anything from the game but it was the hosts who struck again when the impressive Moffi completed his hat-trick ten minutes from time to make it 4-0.

Issouf Sissokho then pulled one back for the visitors to make it 4-1 but it was Lorient who held on to just within one point of Bordeaux who are now 16th on the table with 36 points.

Moffi was rightly named man of the match with a rating of 8.9 as he scored his first top flight hattrick to take his league tally to 14 goals from 22 starts
