Former Golden Eaglets star, Akinkunmi Amoo continued his fine start to the season with Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby as he scored his second goal of the campaign in as many matches to help them to a 3-2 win over IK Sirus, reports.

With just a win in their opening four league outings this campaign, the hosts were hoping to record their second win with Amoo handed his 5th consecutive league start for the host.

Swedish midfielder Abdulrahman Khalili opened the scoring for Hammarby after just 14 minutes before he then set up Jeppe Andersen seconds after the second-half restart to give the host a 2-0 lead.

Jacob Ortmark then pulled one back for the visitors to make it 2-1 but a mistake in midfield seconds later allowed Astrit Selimani to set up Amoo with the former U-17 striker keeping his cool before firing home to make it 3-1 and seal all 3 points for the host.

Elsewhere at the Gamla Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg, former Barcelona B defender Godswill Ekpolo opened his goal-scoring account for BK Hacken as they played out a 1-1 draw away at IFK Goteborg.

The 25-year-old bundled home a Tobias Heintz corner to put the visitors ahead early in the crowd half before Tobias Sana last-minute penalty in stoppage time denied them of their second win of the season.

Ekpolo was rightly handed the man of the match mantle with a rating of 8.0, making 3 blocked shots and interceptions, making 2 key tackles, winning 100% of his duels, and also completing 89% of his passes.
