Nigerian youngster, Alhassan Yusuf is on the verge of completing a sensational move from the Swedish Allsvenskan to the Belgium Pro league after an agreement was reached with him between Royal Antwerp and Göteborg for the transfer of the player, reports.

The 20-year-old, who has been a regular player with the Swedish top-flight side since making his debut in July 2018, will put pen to paper on a 4-year-deal with both clubs agreeing for a transfer fee of around €1.5 million.

Having finished second in the league behind eventual champions Club Brugge, Antwerp will be hoping the young player adds plenty of solidity to their midfield as they bid to do well in the Europa League in the new season.

Alhassan joined Goteborg from Abuja-based academy, Tiki Taka, in July of 2018, going on to make 64 league appearances for the club whilst scoring twice and assisting 5 times from his deep playing defensive midfield role.

He will now join fellow Nigerian, Junior Pius at the Bosuilstadion as he becomes the 9th signing of head coach Franky Vercauteren ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign.
