Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho is back to training ahead of the kickoff of the new football season as he aims to lead the line for the 2021 FA Cup Champions, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former Manchester City striker had a fantastic 2020/2021 season where he scored 17 goals in all competitions and was really a force to reckon with in the second half of the season as his goals helped the Brendan Rodgers-tutored side to claim Europa League qualification and for the first time clinch the oldest club cup competition, the FA Cup.
Senior Man Kelz, as he is fondly called, posted a picture of his first training on his official Instagram handle where said:
“We’re Back”, signifying his readiness to lead the line for the Foxes this new season.
The Foxes have a number of lined-up games during the preseason and Rodgers will obviously expect his forward lineup to be in shape for the new season.
Leicester City kicks off their new season at home on August 14 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
