Former Captain of the Olympic Eagles Okechukwu Azubuike is again in the news following interest from a host of Turkish top-flight outfits who are hoping to prize the midfielder away from Turkish club Basaksehir FK, can authoritatively confirm.

Having joined the 2019/2020 Turkish league Champions on a permanent deal last summer, the Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medalist struggled for regular game time as he was limited to just 11 games, starting 6 of those games.

Now hoping for more playing time ahead of the new campaign, the 24-year-old is expected to seek a move away from the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium with a host of Turkish clubs ready to pounce on the opportunity to sign him.

Among the clubs interested in signing the Eagles midfielder is newly promoted Adana Demirspor with former Club Yeni Malatyaspor also interested in bringing the 24-year-old back to Malatya having helped them achieve promotion in the 2016/2017 season.

He then went on to feature for the club 27 times the following season in the top flight before he then joined Egyptian side Pyramid FC the following season as a free agent.
