Nigerian international Stephen Odey is reportedly attracting interest from a host of clubs in Belgium ahead of the 2021-2022 league seasons, reports.

Having failed to establish himself as a mainstay with KRC Genk since his switch from FC Zurich in 2019, the former MFM striker joined Amiens last winter on loan where he impressed during his short stay with the club.

A return to Belgium has however been meeting with plenty of uncertainty with Odey now seeking a move away from the Luminus Arena having featured in just 13 games since his arrival..

The 23-year-old is however not short of offers with the trio of Sporting Charleroi, Zulte-Waregem, and KV Kortrijk all looking to use their previous Nigerian connection to convince Odey to join them.

It’s however unsure if Genk will let the player leave permanently or loan him out for another season with fellow Nigerian Cyril Dessers expected to lead their attack this campaign should the club let go of Paul Onuachu.
